Shane...through the years

The year was 1960...the music scene was enjoying success both with it's roster of stable artist as well as the influx of talented new acts.  Regardless of the payola distractions during these years, the majority of radio personalities truly cared and helped to advance these careers with open airplay.  Consequently, the main problem for many record labels was not found in the exposure of their talent, but rather in the distribution of their product.

Distribution was the business window that brought Shane Records on the music scene.  Rack jobbing established the base for Shane Records with route locations scattered throughout the southern states.  Delivering new releases to radio stations, chart hits, standards and oldies, to chain stores, record stores, major outlets, even the mom and pop country stores were serviced with our vans.

Often these account relationships were merged and promoted by Shane to book variety shows in their local markets, and while this allowed the talent to visit local radio, build fans from performance and in-store promotion, it also put their product in the hands of waiting buyers.

By 1963...Shane's music involvement began to attract new talent searching for help with their career and what seemed to be a natural progression...the Shane Record label was formed.  A progression that time has proven correct and for more than forty years the Shane label has produced and advanced the careers of numerous talented artist and released some of the finest in Gospel and Country Music.

Today the Shane Music Corporation is more active than ever with our stable of popular recording artist, while continuing our open door policy to review and assist in the advancement of new talent.

Thanks for stopping by and we hope you will visit often.
